Good News Indeed

The word Gospel means good news.

The way most Christians present that information isn't that good.

"So, you can avoid a place called Hell if you accept Jesus and say a canned prayer...but then you must do all these things to show you have accepted Him."

This is partly true.

If you can swallow the truth of Scripture about God, a perfect being outside of time and space. He is even immensely higher than angels including the one they call Satan.

Scripture paints God as being in complete control of all things...ALL things including our decisions and yes even Satan's decisions.

Yes, it does.

If you can swallow that truth, you can then see that you were not made perfect. Nope, you never were. You were made, if you can accept it, to realize it, and then find that God loves you anyway. He did the Jesus thing for that very purpose.

This frees you from guilt and shame, for every evil or stupid decision. Good news, yes.

Forgiveness is awesome! God forgives, then you forgive. It was always His plan, coming to Him as you are, trusting Him to do the best with you.

Additionally, you will find that this Being, cares a great deal about you regardless of what you or the entire world thinks.

He wants you to trust Him. When you do that, you can now walk through life with a greater purpose. You may not know what it is, but you will know He is with you, guiding you, carrying you through it. Failure is no longer possible, again, regardless of what you, your family or the entire world thinks.

The freedom here is immense.

If you want it, it is free to anyone...yes, anyone.

Not sure, ask Him. He is more than able to convince you. Really.

If you do, sincerely, He will respond, yes, He will. You will then find the true Gospel message really is good news.
