If You Care

My two daughters are not happy with God. They grew up hearing about Him. They have heard all my stories of things God has done, and things I have seen. As a fact, not a boast, they both know more than any average church goer...by far.

One hates God with a passion, and the other just wants nothing to do with Him.

Since salvation is a gift, I am waiting for God to give it to them. Yes, He has told me He would...personally. So, I know He will.

When, is another matter, and, frankly, none of my business.

I trust Him. He definately knows what He is doing.

Still, God, being the most important thing to me, is a topic I will speak on to the point of great annoyance.

I have been told many times to stop speaking about Him. One, just a day ago.

It's like meeting the greatest girl ever, one you want to spend the rest of you life with, one you would die for, and your "friends" don't care. They are just so tired of hearing you go on and on about her!

Ah, but what if this relationship, that means the world to you, is something anyone can have? What if all they had to do was reach out like you did? They could find it, because the relationship is for anyone.

If so, you are not just being irritating because you are twitterpated, but rather this is a real and concrete thing, like oxygen. It would massively bless everyone!

You do it, then, because you care.

So, yes, I will still talk about my favorite person to anyone, and everyone. Asking me to do otherwise, is like telling me I can talk, but about nothing that I really care about. You might as well tell me that you hate me as I am, and want me to be someone else!

That is what you are doing.

If I treated you that way, you would not appreciate it much either. You would call me a fake friend, one-sided at best.

You would be accurate.

What's worse are the many who I know that dissagree with my "perspective". Do you seek to show me the way, or ignore my wandering? No challenge? No, biblical discussion?

No effort.

This, in fact, tells me you are irritated, and do not really care.

Yes, it does.

Would you do the same for those you consider lost?

If you do, God has clear descriptions of this...and they are not good.
