Bad Dad?

Say you could see the future. You could see clearly that your child would be killed in a car accident, if she left the house at 10am. You could stop her from leaving, physically, if you have to. You are much bigger than her, so it would be easy.
So, why would you not stop her? Are you a bad dad?
Well, just being able to see the future, you still would be able to change it. Your simple ability would give you quite a bit of power over others. It would give you the power to choose who lives or dies. You could prevent, or cause, great disasters.
I sure hope you are not a bad dad!
What if your daughter, not dying in a car accident, creates a huge scenario that destroys the entire planet? What if, she has a son that will become the one man to ignite WWIII and destroy all life on the planet.
Would you be a bad dad then?
Imagine the power you would have here...and the pain it would cause you! You would have to choose the best possible scenario for everyone. You might have to sacrifice your own child!
Not a bad dad, but a good guy.
Sure, this concept makes sense. Being powerful has its price. If you are not God.
It may seem comfortable to limit God, and say He only "knows" what's coming, rather than He wrote, ordained, predetermined...etc... what's coming. Yet, He would still be determining the future, just what the "best" possible scenario is, rather than being God over all of it...
"Ooooooops! Look what I did over here! Now I'll just have to work hard to fix it, as best I can!"
It seems easier to say He is not a bad dad that way.
Think about it. You are saying, "He is doing the best He can!" just like the dad in the scenario I painted above. Imagine taking the Biblical God and accusing Him of "doing the best He can"...after making such a huge mistake by creating it at all.
Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it! If you look at the power of God, biblically, scripturally, He doesn't just know what's coming. No, He is Lord of it ALL.
You can limit Him, based on your fear, or "comfort" level, but you cannot really know Him, until...you KNOW Him.
So, is He a Bad Dad? How do YOU know?
Remember...Job's friends defended God. Job got in His face to find out why.
Who was God pleased with?
