2 Thessalonians 2:1-3
[1] Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers,
[2] not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come.
[3] Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.
If you are a Christian, you don't have to worry about what's coming. God is already there, and He has outlined some major events that must take place first.
Jesus said not to worry, and so does the Apostle Paul here in 2 Thessalonians. He makes certain events very clear. Our being gathered to Jesus will not happen until the "Lawless one" appears. Paul also explains the event that will out this guy.
[4] He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
No one has done this yet, and currently, there is no temple, so not only has this not happened, but it cannot take place anytime soon. Oh, yes, Israel is chomping at the bit to build one, but there are many things in the way.
Of course, things could change tomorrow, so only God knows. Still, its a good idea to keep an eye out for these events.
Since Christians are not getting out of here until the "Lawless one" does his thing, the gathering in the clouds isn't going to happen at anytime now.
I suggest you accept what it says in the book, and not what teachers in books, YouTube, and churches are telling you.
Sure it would be nice to get out of here before things get ugly. Sure, it would be wonderful not to have to work tomorrow. Unfortunately, the only way for you to get out of here at any time...is to die.
Me, I will trust in the Lord. Whether I live or die, I do it for Him.
Our time will come, and it will last forever. Just, please, as Paul said, don't let anyone decieve you.
You will do much better if you do.
