Give It To Me Straight

Luke 8:10

[10] He said, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, "`though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.' 

"Given to you."

If you see, and understand.

If you dont...it wasn't given to you.

You are "others".

Faith is seeing.

Faith is understanding.

It is eyes to see, and ears to hear.

...if you have it.

No room to boast.

Luke 8:18

[18] Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken from him."

Again, it is faith.

If it was given to you, more will be given...it will grow.

If you have not been given faith, what you believe to be faith, will be taken away.

Because you really can't see.

You are still blind...even though you think you are not.

The word, or seed sown only responds if the Father has given faith.

He tills the ground.

He prepares the heart.

It is not chance.

It is not done by man's effort.

It is done by the Father.

John 6:44

[44] "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.

"NO ONE!".

If you arrogantly dismiss those who are blind...so are you.

If you can see, you WILL understand this.

This is no parable.

It is straight truth.

Ah, but it doesn't matter, unless He wants it, you can't see what is plain as day.

He does in fact still heal the blind.

If He wants it, you will ask for it...and He will do it.

That is how it works.
