He Got What You Deserved

ree

I am disturbed by the disgusting attitude of so many. Not long ago it was the CEO of United Healthcare. Many publicly, and proudly, announced their feelings that his murder was justified.

Now, none of us know if the guy was super evil or a nice guy. Even if he worshiped the devil and ate babies, how would that make him more worthy of death than you, or me?

Truly, it doesn't.

Luke 13:1-5

[1] Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.

[2] Jesus answered, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way?

[3] I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

[4] Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them--do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem?

[5] I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."

Jesus is clear here. God is not measuring your guilt as far as punishment goes.

Let me be clear...Hell is not hotter for those worse than you! It is the same temperature for all who reject God's call to turn to Him.

You can spend your life rescuing butterflies and puppies and still sit next to Hitler in the Pit...waiting final judgment.

Yes, you can.

Don't you get it? You can make up all the rules you want, and justify your hatred in any which way, but your opinion will not change what God has already stated as fact.

You will all burn if you do not repent and turn to Jesus Christ, humbly.

Eternity is a long time.

Sure, it makes you feel better that you don't cheat on your taxes, but without Jesus, you are doomed.

Sure, you feed the homeless, but if you think Jesus is impressed with your work, you are doomed.

Gloating because someone was killed, whether by a bullet or tower, is just asking for the same.

You are not better than.

Not even close.

Salvation...from eternal destruction, only comes through faith in Jesus Christ. He completed the covenant of the Law for those who trust Him.

That's it. He isn't offering it to everybody. You must believe Him. Only those who do will be forgiven.

Those are the rules.

I didn't make them, He did.

Oh, you can argue with me. I am nobody, but arguing with the Author of the story?

Well, that just makes you some kind of special...doesn't it?
