Is This Love?

So, God gave man the choice to destroy his life in order to show His love for him?

Does that really make sense to you?

So, if a father gave his toddler son a loaded 357 magnum, would that be showing love? How is offering his clueless son a device that can destroy him, love?

Even if the Father only knew what "might" happen, would it be love then?

What if the father knew exactly what would happen?

Ouch!

You do realize that if an earthly father did that, he would be charged with manslaughter at the very least?

Does that "choice" still look like an opportunity for love?

Now, if you are already convinced that the Father REALLY does love His children, then giving them that "choice" shows intentionality for something much greater, something so much better that orchestrating a massive failure was the only way for His children to see?
