Lights, Camera, Action

"Important" pastors and priests have said for years that everything is about Jesus.

It is not.

It's about you and Jesus.

Yes, from your perspective, your entire existance is about a relationship between you and Jesus Christ, who is God.

It's either like a Hallmark movie, or an action film.

You are either struggling with many obstacles, to overcome the distance between you and Him, or you are the world dominating bastard, who the hero will eventually kill with a bazooka to the face. Everyone else is just a side character to fill out the story dynamics.

In your own heart and mind, this should be how you see your life.

That's the way He sees it.

Revelation 3:15-16

[15] I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!

[16] So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

It's that important.

Putting Him on the back burner just pisses Him off. There is no story there. It wouldn't even get a viewer when nothing else is on!

Canceled.

Seeing that you are one of the two main characters in the story is not arrogant. It is reality. It gives your life meaning and purpose. It becomes something even God, Himself is fond of.

He is a bit of a mush. He loves a good comeback story with a beautiful, full redemption, end. Yes, He also likes a good comeback story where He completely obliterates the bad guy.

Look, it's all in His book, if you care to ignore the bad teachers, and read it for yourself.

You are a character, God The Father, The Author has written.

From your perspective, you can be a Judas or a Pharoah. Glorious as it may be in the tense parts of the story, it won't end well for you.

You can be the long lost love, who the hero has to woo, in spite of many hurts and failings.

The hero will, of course, succeed either way.

He is the Author after all.

So, play your part...

or end up on the cutting room floor.
