Limitations

The reason people keep trying to diminish God, and His power, even in the churches, is that they believe the lie that they can ascend and become like God.

It seems so much easier to wrestle control from God, if He was either too stupid to hold on to it, or too weak to keep it.

Satan still has to ask God for permission.

Nowhere in scripture does it show God as weak, confused, or limited in power. God never lost any authority to Adam, Satan or anyone else. God gives authority to anyone He chooses, and He always has the final say.

Nothing happens that is not overshadowed, no, dominated, by His will...nothing. You must realize that every effort to say, or imply otherwise, in the Old Testament, was met with God's anger.

"Is my arm too short!?"

The New Testament is clear on this as well. Jesus never spoke of a lack of authority held by God, The Father. On the contrary, He spoke over and over of trusting God's complete control.

Faith in God IS trusting in Him, His character, power, AND control.

"Even the hairs on your head are numbered."

If you want God to smile at you, it would be wise to acknowledge His power and authority, and stop using language that implies any limitation.

For He has none.
