Look Its Godzilla!

It's easy to just assume we are good with God. The Israelites did that, often.

When they weren't, God would bring them problems and disaster.

Why?

Complacency is in the heart. A terrified heart will seek God...just out of fear alone.

It's a pity that this is necessary, but it obviously is.

Wander off, discipline comes.

Run off, discipline comes.

Children cannot get away with anything.

The scariest part is those who think they are fine, yet lie, steal, cheat on their wives, or live with someone outside of a marriage covenant...without that disciplinary big stick from the hand of The Father.
