The Litmus Test

The Law is the best possible way to live and can only be fully accomplished by God.

It is proof we are not and cannot become God.

It is also the best way to live and live well.

The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath, as Jesus said. All the Law was made for man, not man for the Law.

That being said, salvation or acceptance by God, is achieved only by faith or trust in God.

If you trust God, you will, by natural response, obey God.

It seems like a catch 22, but it is not.

Faith is what God wants. Obedience to the Law is just a by-product. It doesn't show we can become like God, no, it shows He is good for His word.

So, if you call yourself a believer, but lie, cheat on your spouse, boast, steal, or hate, you are not.

If you believe Him, you cannot continue to live that way. Your trust in Him, even if small, would cause you to turn back to Him...repent.

It IS that simple.
