What A Nice-Looking Piece of Fruit!

John 6:44

44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.

John 15:16

16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.

Ephesians 1:4

4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5he b predestined us for adoption to sonship c through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—

I know this is hard. I know why too...

Genesis 3:6

6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it.

I have heard said, and it is the predominant thought, "God knows what will happen and who will choose him. This is how we are chosen!"

Just say that out loud. Just once...

Doesn't sound right does it.

That's because it is ridiculous!

It says God CHOOSE!

We are not chosen because we chose. We choose because we WERE chosen, long before we took our first breath.

This is what scripture says.

Do you trust Him?

Or that guy who is so shiny up behind that pulpit?

He looks so wise!

It's your choice...

1 Corinthians 1: 28-31

28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him.

30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”

Paul says "It is because of Him"

- You could trust in HIS choice.

Now THAT is wise!
