Why The Hate?

So, the scriptures are clear, the rules listed are the best possible way to live life. It is also clear that because we are not God, we cannot live up to these rules perfectly. No one can, except God. It is, in fact, why they are there.
The rules show we cannot become God.
This is why Jesus offers grace. To recieve this grace, we need to acknowledge that He is God and we are not...because obviously we cannot live up to the rules.
Understanding this as a believer in Jesus Christ, I can, and should point out to others the rules, but also share the grace that is available.
I do.
Yes, homosexuality is a bad idea according to God, and His perfect rules. It just isn't the best way to live.
Neither is hate.
I am pressed by God to point out the perfect, which is Jesus Christ. I am also pressed to point out everyone's need for His grace, and how free it really is.
I cannot do this by hate.
Love is kind, hate is not.
So, in all my dealings, I will say, "yes, that is a bad idea", but I cannot be unkind about it.
So I am not unkind.
It is not unkind to tell a drug addict, that drugs are not good. Especially, when you offer help...real help, not just words.
Yet, the hate recieved, because folks don't like being told God says something they like is bad, is insane!
Most of us don't tell you because we think we are better. No, we know we are not. We tell you because we want to see you there...forever.
Yes, it is because we care. Otherwise, why bother?
Sure, you don't believe it. Sure, you think it's stupid. Obviously, we do not.
So, why the hate?
Yes, in all your actions toward those stupid Christians...you are unkind.
Hater's gonna hate.
