Revelation 12:1-2
[1] A great and wondrous sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.
[2] She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.
The woman is the nation of Israel...the Jews. The child is Jesus, the Christ.
Revelation 12:3-4
[3] Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads.
[4] His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour her child the moment it was born.
Satan tried to kill Jesus just after He was born...but he failed.
I imagine, that pissed him off greatly.
Revelation 12:5
[5] She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne.
Yes, indeed.
Revelation 12:7-9
[7] And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.
[8] But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.
[9] The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
This event hasn't happened yet.
Why?
Because what immediately follows hasn't happened yet.
Satan hates the Jews.
Satan hates the Christians.
He hates both because he hates God. All this supposed jealousy because man was favored, or given a supposed free-will is BS.
It is.
It is not remotely biblical. Satan hates, but nowhere does it really say why. Me, I think he does simply because God made him to.
Either way, Satan hates anyone who God favors.
Jacob, or Israel, was picked out of all people on this earth to bring forth God's plan for salvation. Isreal as a nation isn't saved or accepted by God because of their lineage. I'm sorry, but they are not special, or more important that regular unsaved people just because they are descended from Jacob!
They are not.
Romans 9:6
[6] It is not as though God's word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.
Faith in God is how people get saved. It always was, from the very beginning. It was never by works, or by genetics.
So, making the nation of Isreal out to be special is not biblical.
Yes, they were used by God to bless the world.
Yes, they were extremely important to God's plan.
Yet, they also, like everyone else, must believe in Jesus to be saved.
Your standard Jewish man is not saved, just like most Greeks, pagans, woke people and satanists. They need Jesus just like everybody does.
They don't have a better shot at it, other than the fact that the knowledge of the Law is already taught to them from when they were young...if it was.
The Law points to Christ. It IS their only advantage.
Many "christians" are taught that the Jews are still God's chosen. God's chosen get saved. So if they don't get saved...they are not His chosen.
Oh, they were chosen by God to bring forth the Law and the Christ, but they were chosen for a purpose. That purpose.
Romans 9:2-8
[2] I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart.
[3] For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, those of my own race,
[4] the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption as sons; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises.
[5] Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of Christ, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen.
[6] It is not as though God's word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.
[7] Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham's children. On the contrary, "It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned."
[8] In other words, it is not the natural children who are God's children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham's offspring.
The children of the promise are those who believe in Jesus.
This is what it says.
It doesn't matter what a preacher says, if it disagrees with scripture.
Isreal has a place and a purpose in this world. A very important one. They are written as very prominent during the last days, and as written, many will get saved. Yet, this Isreal worship is not biblical. They need Jesus, if they don't already believe in Him.
Now, the Jew hatred...well, that is satanic.
It is.
As a Christian, you can believe they are bad in their dealings with the Gaza strip. I don't know if they are. They aren't saved, so they very well might be doing terrible things to the Gazans.
However, Hamas is openly hateful and terroristic. They have been very clear on it from their beginnings. So, what they say is going on is highly suspect.
Why do they hate the Jews and want them exterminated?
Because Satan does.
Revelation 12:7-12
[7] And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.
[8] But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.
[9] The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
[10] Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
[11] They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
[12] Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short."
Filled with fury...with a limited amount of time.
Revelation 12:13-14
[13] When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.
[14] The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the desert, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent's reach.
Time, times and half a time, or three and a half years. This IS the Great Tribulation.
No, it's not seven years. It is always listed as 3.5 years.
It is.
Satan is going to attack the Jews. He hates them now, and those he has influenced hate them as a reflection.
This is why the absolute genocidal hatred of that tiny group of people has always existed.
A reflection of hate never comes from God...other than a hatred of sinful behavior...never the sinner.
When Satan attacks, he is going to bring armies to Jerusalem and surround it...
Luke 21:20-23
[20] "When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near.
[21] Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city.
[22] For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written.
[23] How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.
Again, the same events in Matthew chapter 24.
Matthew 24:15-20
[15] "So when you see standing in the holy place `the abomination that causes desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel--let the reader understand--
[16] then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
[17] Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house.
[18] Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak.
[19] How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!
[20] Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.
And again written by Paul in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
[3] Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.
[4] He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
This same event is written about in many places in scripture, each revealing just a bit more detail.
Satan's armies will attack Jerusalem, but those who flee will be rescued by God and kept safe for 3.5 years.
So, be careful on getting caught up into the Jewish hatred. You don't need to worship them or immediately side with them either. Their leaders are unsaved men, so they will act like it. They are not going to act like believers.
Jews and Islamists both need Jesus. We should not lift or exonerate either, nor should we hate and wish for destruction of either.
Balance, balance is important.
Knowing we are saved by God's grace alone...not by our race, actions, or our favoring Jews...just because they were chosen by God for a purpose.
Keep in mind, Judas, like Pharoah and Essau were also chosen by God for a purpose.
Oh, and this is important...
Revelation 12:16-17
[16] But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.
[17] Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring--those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
Yes, Satan hates the Jews...but when his attack fails...he is coming after the believers, God's chosen for salvation...next.
That means you.
Do you trust God?
Revelation 13:9-10
[9] He who has an ear, let him hear.
[10] If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed. This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints.
Better get enough oil now...you are running out of time.
