OMG!!

It's not about doing Good or Evil, it never was. It has always been about trust. The very reason the first ones plunged this world into evil is because they didn't trust God.

They wanted to know the difference between Good and Evil, believing they would become like God. Instead of becoming more like God, they discovered that the distance between them and God was vast. Compared to the perfection and awesomeness of a timeless, flawless being, they were in truth nothing but moving mud.

This is what the knowledge of good and evil offered.

To compensate for this terrible knowledge and the resulting distance it created in their once good relationship with God, they came up with really stupid ways of "covering" it up. From fig leaves to hiding, it really doesnt help, because hide/deny all you want God is never just going to not be here. God IS. It's even in His name after all.

To fix this problem God Himself stepped into this world to show us a clear and easy way back...to just trust Him again.

Look, He knew what we were in comparison to Him. He was OK with it. He made us that way after all. The problem was never on His end. He still approaches us everyday with "Why are you hiding? Just believe!"

Repentance, is simply to stop running or hiding, turn back and begin to trust in God. This was made clear by the work of Jesus Christ.

However, real trust is only found when you get to know God. How else can you trust anything, but discover it is trustworthy?

Yet, once you begin to trust God, you begin to obey God, as you become aware that He really does know what is best. It starts as simple trust and eventually grows into something more...love. You obey God because you love Him and trust in His way of doing things. My Father does know what is best.

When you love God, worship is what naturally follows. For we find out that while we stand boldly before Him naked and flawed, we are all the while loved and accepted. Anyone who has experienced this knows it is not just a feeling, but rather an undeniable connection with the universe's Supreme Being.

Of course it all seems stupid to those who don't trust God. How could they understand? In their blindness, they don't want to... Nothing we say or do will change that, only He can do that. They must hear Him call out to them from their hiding place.

I really hope He does that. Knowing God, was meant to be shared. The drive is not to aquire points, acceptance or favor, as we already have that. It is simply because of that worship, love and acceptance. Its like having the most awesome food ever tasted with enough to feed the entire world. All you want to do is see another face light up when they taste it and say...

"Oh my God!! This is really, really good!!!
