A Psalm of Lou
Why, oh God, is life so hard?
Filled with disappointment and grief?
Humiliation and frustration, for those who you have laid claim? T
hose who you have promised more?
You gave us enemies we didn't earn, and failures caused by those who despised your work.
Yes, pain and suffering for acts of grace and service.
Shame for honor and respect.
Hatred for love.
Rejection for acceptance.
You gave us enemies who should have been friends.
Men who wanted our demise instead of being leaders and allies.
Why, oh God, is your hand against your children?
Ah, but you are God.
A God who knows all things.
Who plans good things for your chosen.
You waste nothing in the pain and disappointment.
Your promise is sure even in great despair.
You have not forsaken.
You will make growth!
Woe! To those you use to hurt.
They will be repaid!
They will learn their error, but it will be too late.
Judgement comes soon.
It has already been on His house.
It will now move to those who hated His own.
