Character Development

You know what they call it, when in a movie, TV show or novel, the hero gets his butt kicked a time or two? Character development.

Romans 5:3-4 (ESV)

3. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,

4. and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,

Yeah, God calls it that too.
