Exposed By The Law

Faith doesn't give us the power to obey the Law of God. Nor does it give us the motivation to obey the Law of God.

The Law of God was put in place to show us how to be perfect, like God. Only God could obey the Law. What Satan said to Eve wasn't true. Man cannot be God.

Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ completes the Law. Therefore, it is no longer necessary.

For a man of Faith knows he cannot be God, so he no longer strives for that perfection. He simply rests in his Faith that God's grace is enough.

The man of Faith only strives to know God better in order to increase that Faith.

If a man still strives to fulfill any part of the Law, from circumcision to celebrating feasts, he is not trusting in the work of Jesus Christ.

Pursuit of the Law is exposed by a heart of ascension. "I am better because I do ________"... even though no one can obey the entire Law, except Jesus Christ, who is God.

A man of Faith, knows he is better than no one, because his acceptance is purely by grace, and not because of anything he has done. Everyone else is the same. He is not better, not smarter, and not more important.

He has no reason to dismiss anyone.

He has no reason to treat anyone badly.

He has no reason to accuse anyone.

He has no reason to tell anyone to obey any rule!

His only job in this world is to point to the one who gave him that grace and acceptance.

Galations 1:6-10

[6] I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel--

[7] which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.

[8] But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!

[9] As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!

[10] Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

If you reject Faith and return to the Law, trying to become more, you will be eternally condemned...for "no one will be justified by the Law."
