You must understand. For your opinion to matter to someone, they must have at least a small amount of respect for you.

Respect is earned by showing yourself to be wise, skilled, or reasonable.

To blast someone without being respected, is not only useless and stupid, but it is also rather arrogant to assume your opinion matters to them.
