Just Plain Foolish

Your spouse is not your enemy.

Your spouse is your partner to walk through God’s plan for this life.

They are also not your God.

Because they are not, they are completely unable to satisfy all your needs.

If you expect them to be so, then you WILL show your dissatisfaction. If you do that enough, they will begin to see you as their enemy. For who of us would call our critics, detractors and opposition…friends?

Become your spouse’s ally. That doesn’t mean you have to agree on every point, but it does mean when opposition comes, you put your back up against theirs and fight alongside.

Only a fool attacks his ally in the midst of a fight.
