On Fire For God

Acceptance by God is through faith alone.

If you believe that you have to do anything to recieve acceptance by God, you are not trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

No, all the good stuff, you will do willingly, not as a requirement, but because you know His way is the best way.

Love is the motivation, not proving oneself.

John 14:15

"If you love me, you will obey what I command.

Emphasis is on "you will".

John 15:12

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

1 Corinthians 13:4

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

Kindness, patience...love, is an outward expression of a very real faith in Jesus.

It's like the smoke to a flame.

Oh, but if there is no smoke, is there really a fire?
