Pure Gold

1 Peter 2:23

When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.

1 Peter 4:19

So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

1 Peter 5:6-7

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Reading 1 Peter last night.

I love these verses. They show that in struggle, we need to trust God in the circumstances. Not by angry fighting, whining, complaining, or fake happy (stupidity) acting, but by resigning our selves to God's sovereignty, and letting the circumstances grow our faith... Because that is what He is working all things for.

1 Peter 1:7

These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
