Real Super Power

John 8:12

12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Jesus the light in the darkness.

John 8:31-32

31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

The word of God reveals truth.

Romans 10:17

17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

The word of God increases faith.

2 Corinthians 5:6-7

6 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.

Faith in Jesus, is a way of living.

Galatians 5:16-18

16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

By the Spirit, we are free from the law: the works we try to do in order to be accepted by God.

1 Corinthians 2:10-16

10 these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. 13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.

14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. 16 “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

The Word of God leads to truth, faith is awareness and acceptance of that truth, and is only attainable through the Holy Spirit. Walking by Faith IS walking by the Spirit. Walking by the Spirit is walking in Faith and Truth because we are connected by the mind if Christ.

Hebrews 11:6

6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Acceptance by God or salvation, is only obtained by trusting in Jesus Christ.

That Trust only grows by accepting God's word.

Growing in that trust increases our capacity to be full of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the only way we can connect to the mind of Christ.

Jesus Christ is God, outside of time and space.

Seeing things from the outside enables us to see the lies and the pitfalls the lies create. It also is an open means of being useful to God for really powerful things.

Faith is more than just simply believing in Jesus. It is seeing and accepting truth. It is knowing who God is and who we are. It is seeing the bigger picture and knowing the outcome is controlled and will be really good, regardless of what it looks like in this world of darkness.

It sets us free! Free from lies, the law and failure. Free to walk with God.

Matthew 13:12

12 For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

When we pursue Him more...we get more.

Faith in Jesus Christ, grown through the study of God's word IS a super power.
