Surprise!

Updated: May 16

Love is kind, hate is not.

1 John 4:20

20. If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.

1 John 2:9-11

9. Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness.

10. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble.

11. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him.

1 Corinthians 13:4-5

4. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

5. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Matthew 5:44

44. But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Romans 12:19-20

19. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.

20. On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."

Love is kind, not unkind.

Hate is unkind.

You can't have wonderful feelings toward an enemy who has murdered your children. But you can be kind, especially when they are in need...water, food, help.

If you trust God, and act like Him - being kind, even to your enemy, then God Himself will defend you...thus the burning coals.

Ah, but if you are unkind, to believers...you are not saved.

That IS what is written.

It is also written that the Goats will be surprised.

Yeah, obviously they do not love God...it showed because they were simply unkind.

Remember that at your next church meeting. The Least are there. They are! They are the ones you don't want to talk to.
