That Chatty Friend

You know the thing about God is really simple, if you are willing to accept it.

Sin is the knowledge of good and evil, which man gained when he didn't trust God and ate from the tree.

Knowing the difference between good and evil simply gives us a perspective on how we compare to God on a physical, spiritual and behavioral level.

God is perfect and we find that we are not. We suck in comparison... embarrassingly so.

Our response is to hide by denying His existence, ignoring Him, or remaking Him into our image: smaller, pettier, and pathetically stupid.

In reality He is not like that at all. In fact He is so far above us in every way it is inconceivable!

The simple truth of it is that He was OK with the differences before we knew they existed. What caused the problem in the first place was a lack of trust in God. If they had, they would not have eaten from the tree.

The solution is to return (repent) to a place of trust. Jesus died and rose to show us the lengths He will go to prove He is OK with us.

Trust in God through Jesus Christ is the only way back to a good and happy relationship with our maker.

Yes, it is that simple...ah, but you can't trust Him without knowing Him.

It's a good thing you can learn all about Him by reading one single book.

Of course there is also conversation.

If you want it, really want it, He will talk, and He can be rather chatty.
