The Grace of God

Of course the Grace of God offers salvation to those who accept it.

However, the Grace of God will also not allow you to live in sin. The Grace itself will change you. The Spirit of God within you will begin to alter your perspective toward that which enslaves you.

If you are not experiencing that change, that pull toward holiness, then you don’t really have the Grace of God upon you.

The sinner’s prayer, as it is called, does not save anyone. It is only by Grace through Faith that anyone is saved.

Still lying to yourself and others?

Still stealing.

Still living in adultery or fornication?

Still treating others poorly because of their size, skin color, personality or place in life?

If so, then maybe the next prayer you offer should not be the sinners prayer…again. Maybe it should be “Lord Jesus, please give me your Grace”.

Without God’s Grace, no matter what you tell yourself, you will not make it. Eternity is an awfully long time…
