To Be Known by God

To Be known by God:

1 Corinthians 8:3

But if anyone loves God, he is known by God.

To Not Be Known by God:

Matthew 7:21-23

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’

23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

You see, it isn't what you do that qualifies you to enter heaven or end up in hell. It is whether or not you are known by God. You are only known by God if you love God.

Would you invite people that hate you to your own party?

Why do you think God should?

God is knowable, and if He is known, the natural reaction is to love Him.

How can you not love a perfect sunset, an awesome mountaintop, or a beautiful landscape. Unlike us, there is nothing in God that is flawed, nothing that is unlovable.

If you hate God, it is for absolutely no reason, but your own foolishness. It is because you don't know Him. Of course, then, as it is written...He doesn't know you either.
