To Trust Is To Obey
Wanna See a great example of how God acts human, just to be relatable?
Genesis 3:7-9
[7] Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
[8] Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
[9] But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"
"Where are you?" Oh, and then He says "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?"
Like He didn't know!
Of course He knew. He knew long before He made them. Long before He made the serpent. He is outside of time.
So why?
Well, you could say He is being deceptive.
You could say He is being condescending.
If you do, it's because your faith is small. Faith grows by knowing the object of your faith.
He is simply being a Father...to a really small child.
He still is, even though He has had your whole life, decisions and all, in His hand and heart the whole time.
To trust is to obey.
