How do you know if you believe?

James 2:18

But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.

Your actions will show if you have faith.

It doesn't mean you will be perfect. It does mean you will always get up, brush your self off, repent (not just apologize to God and man, but to change the behavior) and keep going.

It does mean that God will be important to you. As well as his will for your life… Kindness, Love, Church, Study, Prayer, Giving…

Holiness does not mean perfectness, it means “set apart”.

Faith will be shown by your continued walk. That will show you are “set apart”, different than those who clearly do not walk with God.

If you look like everyone else… and if you think you are saved while making excuses for sinful behavior (lying, cheating, stealing, ANY sex outside of marriage, hate, gossip etc.), without remorse, repentance or concern, you really should sit down, and question whether or not you really believe.

It is a matter of life or death. For if you really don’t believe, you will not be saved… that is what scripture teaches. It is a big deal.

How serious is it to you?

If not so much, then you really want to examine your faith, right now. For that is the only thing that will save you: Faith in God through Jesus Christ.

Philippians 2:12

Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

Our time is running out, the scriptures are clear, we are heading toward the end. It will come quickly once it starts. Are you ready? If not, you will really want to start looking at God a bit more seriously… for when it starts, if your faith is weak, you will not stand.
